Burlcore Foundation Limited (“Burlcore Foundation”, “we”, “us”) is a company limited by guarantee, incorporated in Uganda on 22 July 2026 (Registration No. 80041013403930), with offices in Busia and Kampala. We are the data controller for personal information you provide through this website.
What we collect
When you contact us, subscribe to updates, volunteer, apply for a partnership or make a future donation, we collect the information you choose to provide, such as your name, email address, organisation, the content of your message and, where relevant, donation details.
We also collect limited technical information when you visit the site, including your IP address, device and browser type and pages viewed, used solely to keep the site secure and to understand aggregate usage.
How we use it
- To respond to your enquiry or partnership request.
- To send updates you have specifically asked to receive.
- To process and acknowledge donations, if and when we begin accepting them.
- To keep the website safe, reliable and legally compliant.
We do not sell your personal information and we do not use it for unrelated marketing.
Lawful basis
We process personal data on the basis of your consent (for newsletters and optional communications), our legitimate interests (to reply to enquiries and run the foundation) and, where relevant, to comply with legal obligations in Uganda and the United Kingdom.
How long we keep it
We keep enquiry correspondence for up to 24 months after our last contact, and financial records for as long as required by law. Newsletter subscribers are kept until they unsubscribe.
Sharing
We only share personal information with trusted service providers who help us operate the website and communicate with supporters (for example email and hosting providers), and where required by law. All providers are bound by appropriate confidentiality and data protection terms.
Your rights
