Burlcore was founded on a belief that small, consistent acts of care add up to enormous change. We work at the level of the classroom, the well, the clinic and the smallholding, so that progress is felt in daily life.
Our approach is patient, our partnerships are local, and our measure of success is a child who wakes up excited for the day ahead.
People first
Every decision starts with the children and families we serve.
Joyful work
Dignity, colour and warmth in everything we build.
Local leadership
Ugandan voices shape Ugandan programmes.
Honest reporting
Plain-English updates, always.
Chapter 02
The community behind every project.

Families first
Stable support, stable households.
The most powerful thing a foundation can offer a rural district is dependable support that families can plan around. Burlcore prioritises local delivery, fair partnerships and long-term commitments so that families in Busia can plan for school fees, healthcare and savings. That stability ripples outward into the whole community.
"We measure success not just in projects delivered, but in boreholes drilled, classrooms supplied and households supported across the Lake Victoria Green Belt."

Chapter 04
We don't do this alone.

Our impact is amplified by working alongside local government, regulators, NGOs and development agencies. Co-funded projects go further, last longer and stay accountable to the people they're meant to serve.
- Busia District Local Government
- Local sub-county councils and village leadership
- Community-based education and health NGOs
- Regional development and livelihoods agencies
Transparent reinvestment
A defined share of the Foundation's programme budget is ring-fenced for community works. Allocation is reviewed with district leadership and reported back openly, so partners, regulators and residents can see where the funding lands.
